Former Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner called Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz a “miserable son of a b*tch” and perhaps more stunningly, admitted he would not vote for Cruz in a match up with Hillary Clinton.
Speaking at Stanford University Wednesday night at an event hosted by Stanford in Government and the Stanford Speakers Bureau, Boehner went so far as to refer to the Texas lawmaker as “Lucifer.”
“Lucifer in the flesh,” he said, according to the Stanford Daily. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I’ve never worked with a more miserable son of a b*tch in my life.”
It’s no secret the ex-Ohio lawmaker has little use for a conservative like Cruz after being forced out as speaker in an effort led by the Freedom Caucus, a congressional caucus consisting of conservative House Republicans. Boehner even called Cruz a “jackass” over the 2013 effort to defund Obamacare that resulted in a brief government shutdown.
As for Cruz’s rival Donald Trump, Boehner expressed surprise at his success and said he would vote for the Republican front-runner in the general election if he becomes the nominee.
In a move not helpful to the real estate tycoon’s “anti-establishment” image, Boehner said he and Trump were “texting buddies” and have played golf together.
……Boehner also shared with the audience his greatest accomplishment as a 25-year member of Congress.
“I think my proudest accomplishment is walking out of there the same jackass I was 25 years before,” he said.
Boehner’s rant is pretty pathetic, especially since he’s one of the biggest pussies in Congress.
Boehner has a considerable history of being a total wuss when it comes to confronting the Dems and their corruption. Being called spineless pains him terribly.
He surrendered so much, he should have a white flag tattooed on his ass. He refused to advocate impeachment for Obama. He capitulated twice to Obama over the debt ceiling with no strings attached, and the pompous ass had the gall to dismiss concerns over his feckless behavior with sarcastic rendition of Zip a Dee Doo Dah as he exited a press conference. His collusion with Dems has helped increase the debt by $3,8 trillion in 3 years.
He also disrespected fellow Republicans who take issue with his chickenshit approach to ‘immigration reform’. And he refused to have Lois Lerner arrested for her unlawful, unconstitutional targeting of conservative groups.
In the biggest mutiny against an incumbent speaker in at least a century, 25 House Republicans voted to oust Boehner from the Speaker podium. Unfortunately, they did not succeed. He was challenged by Rep Louis Gohmert (R-TX) for the Speaker’s job, and in spite of his statements to the contrary, retaliated against the Republicans who voted to oust him.
Ted Cruz isn’t perfect, but his record leaves no doubt about his conservative Republican principles. Cruz’s voting record and individual actions reinforce his values and committment to the precepts in the U.S. Constitution. His strength of character is something that Boehner could never measure up to. That’s what rankles assholes like Boehner.
Boehner’s right about one thing; he’s a complete jackass.
