Stay classy, douchebags.
Donald Trump canceled a rally in Chicago because the MoveOn punks displayed their usual tolerance for freedom of speech.
From Fox News.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump canceled one of his signature rallies Friday, saying he didn’t want to see “people get hurt” after protesters packed into the Chicago arena where it was to take place.
The announcement that the billionaire businessman would postpone the rally until another day led a large portion of the crowd inside the University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion to break out into raucous cheers. Meanwhile, supporters of the candidate started chanting “We want Trump! We want Trump!”
There were isolated physical confrontations between some members of the crowd after the event was canceled.
Speaking later with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren, Trump said he had arrived in Chicago two hours earlier and about 25,000 people were trying to enter the arena.
After meeting with law enforcement authorities, he said, “I didn’t want to see people get hurt (so) I decided to postpone the rally…
“What we did was intelligent,” Trump said. “A very good decision…a wise decision.”
He also told Van Susteren, “if we had the rally, I think it would not have been a good situation.” But, he added, “Our First Amendment rights have been violated.”
Ted Cruz stepped in it with an idiotic comment:
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, second in delegates to Trump in the GOP race, said late Friday that the billionaire has created “an environment that encourages this sort of nasty discourse.”
“When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that is escalates,” Cruz said. “Today is unlikely to be the last such incidence.”
Oh, and another bit of information for Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich, all of whom blamed Trump for the violence: The ‘Black Lives Matter” thugs announced that they intend to pull the same shit at the GOP convention in Cleveland:
The protests will dog whichever GOP events have the highest profile as the campaign develops. And we already know that Black Lives Matter plans to disrupt the Republican convention in Cleveland: co-founder Patrisse Cullors in July 2015 to make the attempt, and earlier that month, BLM had demonstrated its likely tactics, against a Democratic candidates’ forum at the NetRoots conference in Phoenix. The Democrats – Martin O’Malley in particular – collapsed like an accordion, knuckling under and allowing BLM to take over the event.
The rest of the GOP field would do well to back off the “blame racist Trump” shit, and focus instead on why he appeals to a large segment of angry Americans. The more they insult his followers, and moreover, people who are angry with the RINO contingent, the more all of this will come back to bite them in the ass.
Republicans vilify, insult, and denigrate faithful grassroot Republicans and Tea Party Patriots for holding them accountable and demanding that they fulfill the promises they made. We expect that kind of filth from LeftProg Dems; not from our own party. The majority the seats gained by the GOP in the House in 2010, was due in large part to the Tea Party movement; a fact that escapes their selective memories. We also had considerable influence in the 2014 mid-terms.
We gave them a majority in the House after the 2014 mid-term elections, and nothing has changed.
We elected them to stop Obama and the DemProgs in their tracks. They turned out to be chickenshits unwilling to take the risks necessary to accomplish that. They’re so afraid of being called “racist”, “mean”, “uncaring”, and a variety of other leftwingnut pejoratives, that they quake at the mere thought of fighting to get this country back.
Instead of backing Republicans who have strong Tea Party values, they were dismissed as ‘fringe’. Instead of doing what we elected them to do, they cave in to the petty little tyrant in the White House and his tools in the Democratic Party.
If the RINOs and establishment Republicans fought the leftwingnut DemProgs with the same veracity they do Trump, this country would be a lot better off.
