It can’t happen soon enough.
From Fox News.
House Speaker John Boehner told lawmakers Friday that he plans to resign at the end of October, in a stunning development that comes amid mounting friction with the conservative wing of the party.
He plans to step down as speaker, and resign from Congress.
The 13-term Ohio Republican shocked his GOP caucus early Friday morning when he informed them of his decision in a closed-door session. One lawmaker told Fox News he was “stunned,” and that there was “some anger” in the room “against the people who caused this to happen.”
……The House will need to hold an election to select a new speaker.
The anger is mutual, assholes.
Boehner has a considerable history of being a total wuss when it comes to confronting the Dems and their corruption. Being called spineless pains him terribly.
Boehner surrenders so much, he should have a white flag tattooed on his ass. He refuses to advocate impeachment for Obama. He capitulated twice to Obama over the debt ceiling with no strings attached, and the pompous ass had the gall to dismiss concerns over his feckless behavior with a sarcastic rendition of Zip a Dee Doo Dah as he exited a press conference. His collusion with Dems helped increase the debt by $3.8 trillion in 3 years.
He also disrespected fellow Republicans who take issue with his chickenshit approach to ‘immigration reform’. And he’s refused to have Lois Lerner arrested for her unlawful, unconstitutional targeting of conservative groups.
In in January, in the biggest mutiny against an incumbent speaker in at least a century, 25 House Republicans voted to oust Boehner from the Speaker podium. Unfortunately, they did not succeed. He was challenged by Rep Louis Gohmert (R-TX) for the Speaker’s job, and in spite of his statements to the contrary, retaliated against the Republicans who voted to oust him. He should have taken the rebellion and constituents’ anger as a message to shapr the fuck up. He didn’t and the anger grew.
A recent FOX News poll by Dana Blanton, VP of FOX News public opinion research, showed that 62% of Republicans feel betrayed by the party. Two-thirds believe the GOP leadership has not done anything to stop the Obama regime’s agenda. There’s a reason for that.
The GOP needs an overhaul.
They vilify, insult, and denigrate faithful grassroot Republicans and Tea Party Patriots for holding you accountable and demanding that you fulfill the promises you made. We expect that kind of filth from LeftProg Dems; not from you. The majority the seats gained by the GOP in the House in 2010, was due in large part to the Tea Party movement; a fact that escapes your selective memories. We also had considerable influence in the 2014 mid-terms.
Instead of backing Republicans who have strong Tea Party values, you abandoned them. Instead of doing what you were elected to do, you cave in to the petty little tyrant in the White House and his tools in the Democratic Party.
We need to purge our ranks of dead weight and boot them them across the aisle. Excommunicate them from the GOP. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Chris Christie (R-NJ), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), John McCain (R-AZ), John Kasich (R-OH) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are just some of the slugs who fit that category. We’re fed up with RINOs, illegal alien panderers, and business as usual bureaucrats who fail to back up their avowed commitments, opting instead to make excuses for their failure.
They’ve forgotten why we elected them to a majority; we wanted them to stop B. Hussein and his socialist Frankenstein dead in their fucking tracks. We want a return to the principles outlined by the founders. We the People are more than just the opening words in the U.S. Constitution, it’s a reminder that they are sworn to serve the citizenry, not the other way around. They’re tasked with the providing the nation’s security and maintaining individual and civil liberties. Instead, they sit on the sidelines, or in some cases, jump into the political sack with toxic DemProgs who have a visceral hatred of America and have made it their life’s work to subvert the fabric of the United States and the freedoms of its citizens. They’ve become as morally bankrupt as the Democrats.
Now that Boehner is stepping down, put someone up on that speaker’s podium who will stand up to the out of control DemProg cabal and get this country back in the right direction.
We’ll see what happens.
