Obama ‘Fast Track’ Trade Bill Trounced by (*Surprise*) Dems

B. Hussein issued another edict, this time involving a super-secret trade bill aka the Trans-Pacific Partnership, ostensibly designed to streamline passage of global trade deals through Congress.

Herein lies the problem:

House Republican leaders have allied themselves with Obama on passing the Trade Promotion Authority legislation, also known as TPA or “Fast Track.” But its passage is uncertain as conservatives have grown skeptical of a deal that would award more authority to a president who they believe is already practicing executive overreach by authorizing millions of illegal immigrants to obtain work permits and some federal benefits.

Democrats, meanwhile, have grown skeptical of trade deals because they believe the measures have hurt U.S. jobs and have given foreign countries an unfair advantage because they don’t always follow the rules.

Republican leaders said they are working to convince GOP members that the measure includes enforcement provisions.

But Republicans seemed to acknowledge they may not be able to convince enough Republicans to pass the legislation without Democrats.

Only two Republicans from the entire conference of 54 members actually read the bill.  The rest of the GOP members like Mitch McConnell, expect to use the Pelosi ObamaCare method of ‘passing it to see what’s in it’.

In the meantime, this is how access to the bill is attained:

“If you want to hear the details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal the Obama administration is hoping to pass, you’ve got to be a member of Congress, and you’ve got to go to classified briefings and leave your staff and cellphone at the door,” Politico’s Edward-Isaac Dovere wrote earlier this week. “If you’re a member who wants to read the text, you’ve got to go to a room in the basement of the Capitol Visitor Center and be handed it one section at a time, watched over as you read, and forced to hand over any notes you make before leaving. And no matter what, you can’t discuss the details of what you’ve read.”

So much for transparency.

In a comedic twist, Barky, the god of all things concerning gender equality, has been accused of sexism by Ohio DemProg Sherrod Brown.  Responding to Elizabeth “Occupy” Warren’s opposition to the bill, Obama said, “The truth of the matter is that Elizabeth is, you know, a politician like everybody else.”

That sparked Brown’s retort: “I’m not going to get into more details. I think referring to her as first name, when he might not have done that for a male senator, perhaps?

Seriously, dude?  You should have been upset long before now. Obama’s real war on women includes paying them less than male White House staffers, and creating a hostile work environment. So much for equal opportunity.  All that pretense about being a female-friendly touchy-feely political faction has been blown to shit.

The GOP ‘leadership’ which is about as useful as tits on a bull, tried to push it through while incredibly, the DemProgs actually pushed back against it. How ironic.  The Republican majority in Congress has yet to do anything we elected them to do.

Stopping Obama and all of his unlawful, unconstitutional actions is at the top of the list. Instead, they’ve rolled over and played dead.  They’re afraid of bucking Barky for fear of being labeled “racist”, “uncooperative”, and “mean”.  99.9% of them are worthless fucks.

They should take a page out of the DemProg book of political tactics and start fighting every piece of crap Obama tries to shove down our throats.  Learn the concept of override.

That would be a refreshing change.
