Boehner Talks Tough, We’ll See if He Backs it Up

John ‘No Balls’ Boehner took to the House floor yesterday and acted as if he actually had guts.  We’ll see just how tough he really is and how determined the GOP majority is to unfuck the damage Obama’s done to this country.

From The Daily Mail.

John Boehner created the first live-action high drama on the House floor Wednesday, staking out a no-compromise position on blocking Barack Obama’s sweeping immigration plan and reading aloud 22 examples of the president’s past claims that he lacked the authority to put it into action.

Obama outlined the plan on Nov. 20, promising to mainstream 5 million or more illegal immigrants by guaranteeing – without input from Congress – that they won’t be deported during his time in office.

Angering Democrats, the House speaker spoke during a floor debate to defend an amendment to the Homeland Security Department’s budget bill that would forbid the cabinet agency from spending any money to implement it.

Boehner openly mocked Obama for what he said was an effort to evade the U.S. Constitution, throwing in his face his past claims that he wasn’t a ‘king’ or an ’emperor.’

The Constitution explicitly gives Congress the power to control America’s immigration policies.

”To think that the president of the United States studied constitutional law!’ he boomed. ‘He didn’t just learn constitutional law. He taught it himself.’

‘Enough is enough!’

The move came less than 24 hours after Boehner and other Capitol Hill leaders met with Obama in the White House to air their differences over legislation that would likely make up the bulk of congressional business for in the coming months.

On Wednesday, Boehner was in no mood to compromise.

Obama’s unilateral move, he said, is an ‘executive overreach … an affront to the rule of law and to the Constitution itself.’

‘What we are dealing with here is a president who has ignored the people, ignored the Constitution, and even his own past statements,’ he said.

‘In fact, on at  least 22 occasions he has said he does not have the authority to do what he did.’

And then Boehner read them.

Obama, he recalled, told an El Paso, Texas audience in May 2011 that immigrants’-rights activists ‘wish I could just bypass Congress and change the law myself. But that’s not how a democracy works.’

And that’s exactly what Obama’s been doing the last 7 years.

But so far, the GOP refuses to prosecute him and the rest of the criminals in his regime.

In the biggest mutiny against an incumbent speaker in at least a century, 25 House Republicans voted to oust Boehner from the Speaker podium.  He  was challenged by Rep Louis Gohmert (R-TX) for the Speaker’s job, and in spiteof his statements to the contrary, retaliated against the Republicans who voted to oust him.  If he had showed as much grit standing up to the Obama regime, the speech would have carried more credibility.

Boehner has a considerable history of being a total wuss when it comes  to confronting the Dems and their corruption.  Being called spineless pains him terribly.

Boehner surrenders so much, he should have a white flag tattooed on his ass. He refuses to advocate impeachment for Obama. He capitulated twice to Obama over the debt ceiling with no strings attached, and the pompous ass had the gall to dismiss concerns over his feckless behavior with a sarcastic rendition of Zip a Dee Doo Dah as he exited a press conference.  His collusion with Dems has helped increase the debt by $3,8 trillion in 3 years. He should not be Speaker of the House.

He also disrespected fellow Republicans who take issue with his chickenshit approach to ‘immigration reform’.  And he’s refused to have Lois Lerner arrested for her unlawful, unconstitutional targeting of conservative groups.

Good luck with that tough talk, Johnny. I’ll believe all that shit when I see it.

I believe it was President Reagan, a National treasure, who said: “If you hold their feet to the fire, they’ll begin to see the light.” Considering the tsunami of fury directed his way recently — and which continues still – maybe he’s getting the message that the people who pay his salary are more than a little fed up with his antics. I’ll be keeping a eye on him and his actions, but I’m not holding my breath until the leopard proves he can change his spots.
