Hillary on Benghazi: ‘Of Course I knew it Wasn’t the Video, but We Pushed it Anyway’

From Fox News.

Hillary Clinton, in a sit-down interview with Fox News, suggested Tuesday that she had doubts from the outset about whether the Benghazi terror attack was triggered by a protest over an anti-Islam film — though her State Department ended up pushing that narrative for days.

“This was the fog of war,” Clinton said, when asked about the administration’s controversial public explanation of the attack.

“My own assessment careened from the video had something to do with it, the video had nothing to do with it — it may have affected some people, it didn’t affect other people,” she said in the interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier and Greta Van Susteren.

Clinton added: “There’s no doubt terrorists were involved.”

The former secretary of State appeared to offer a nuanced explanation of how her department came to initially embrace the video explanation, which Republicans to this day say was unfounded and misleading — and in doing so, effectively distanced herself from that narrative. She stood by prior statements that she was not aware of any reports contradicting intelligence community talking points citing the video, yet suggested she was personally unsure about what caused the violence. Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, died in the attack.

“I was trying to make sense of it,” Clinton said, suggesting the intelligence community was responsible for making that connection.

The scrunt is still not owning up to her own talking points. The intelligence community identified the terrorists within 24 hours. Two days after the attack, Hillary had a meltdown at a Congressman over the point that it was indeed Al Qaeda.

A run down of Hillary’s bullshit:

“What difference does it make?

“Benghazi security wasn’t my problem”.

Hillary blamed ‘lack of funding’ and amnesia.

An innocent filmmaker, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, was used as a scapegoat for Obama and Hillary’s coverup. As a matter of fact, the attack was still underway when Hillary and the White House concocted a “blame the video” strategy, in an attempt to offset the fallout from their stupidity and incompetence.

Hillary’s State Department spent months blowing off Ambassador Stevens’ repeated requests for extra security and his concerns over the growing terrorist violence in the area.

As a result of her and Obama’s depraved indifference, Ambassador Stevens and 3 of his staff were slaughtered in an attack by muslim terrorists that could have and should have been prevented

Nuance, Hillary.
