That way, he could just be the dictator he always dreamed of.
During a lengthy speech at the University of Yangon in Burma, President Obama signaled the important traits of American democracy, particularly his limited powers as president.
“As President, I cannot just impose my will on Congress — the Congress of the United States — even though sometimes I wish I could,” he stated. “The legislative branch has its own powers and its own prerogatives, and so they check my power and balance my power.”
Obama also mentioned his responsibilities as Commander-In-Chief of the United States Military were limited by civilians.
“America may have the strongest military in the world, but it must submit to civilian control,” he said. “I, as the President of the United States, make determinations that the military then carries out, not the other way around. As President and Commander-In-Chief, I have that responsibility because I’m accountable to the people. ”
So far, the Great Dictator hasn’t been held accountable for shit. If accountability had any bearing, he would have been impeached and prosecuted already. Same for Axelrod, Holder, Napolitano, and Hillary.
He bitches about not being able to get his way, but he still managed to screw this country economically and politically, with few roadblocks. The checks and balances imbedded in the Constitution by America’s founders haven’t been much of a deterrent. He added over $4 trillion to the debt, spent billions of taxpayer dollars on “green energy” scams, bailed out and took over 2/3rds of the auto industry, and fully intends to inflict a $1.6 trillion tax increase.
The GOP has yet to find their guts and stand up to this assclown, and I mean enmasse. The Dems keep using their Senate majority to block any efforts to get this country back on track. But then, that’s not what Emperor Obama had in mind when he said “fundamentally transform”.
