Say it ain’t so.
Anjem Choudary, a leading muzzie cleric in Britain, simply states the obvious.
“You can’t say that Islam is a religion of peace because Islam, it does not mean peace. Islam is, it means submission. So the muslim is the one who submits. There is a place for violence in Islam, there’s a place for jihad in Islam…..The Koran is full of you know, jihad is the most talked about duty in the Koran after tawhid—belief. Nothing else is mentioned more than the topic of fighting.”
When asked about the 7 July, 2005 bombings in London, he responded:
“For the people who carried it out, it was legitimate. If you look at the will of Mohammad Siddique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer, they would be justified. And there are many verses from the Koran and many statements to say that’s the Islamic argument. And that is a difficult argument to refute. And there are many scholars who support that argument as well.”
“This particular belief is more than just a religion. It’s not just a spiritual belief. It is, in fact, an ideology which you believe in, you struggle for, and you are willing even to die for, because you believe in that. That is your whole life.”
Choudary’s group follows core Islamic teachings, which is precisely what I’ve been saying all along. Muslims are simply following the violent precepts set down in Mohammad’s 7th Century screed.
This is my stock challenge to those who insist there’s such a thing as “moderate” muslims or Islam:
Tacit disapproval doesn’t count. Come out enmasse. Show the world the so-called “moderate muslims”. I want to see the phantom majority of those who ‘repudiate the mere notion of Islamic supremacy’. I mean by the millions; not a scant letter, post, or rare website. Take to the streets. Show up at the college campuses where Islamofascism has become part of the curriculum. Confront CAIR. Join the GWOT by taking up arms against the al Qaeda and Taliban. And while you’re at it, spread reform across the Middle East, Northern Africa, Indonesia, and Asia. Tell them they can bow to Mecca all fuckin’ day if they wish. Just do it peacefully and quit with the terrorism just because the rest of us don’t follow suit.
Then, I might buy what you’re selling.
