Dems Object to Being Reminded of National Debt

The real time debt clock HERE.

Evidently, the incessant tally of their wild-assed spending habits is too painful to watch.

From the Daily Caller.

Some members of Congress apparently don’t like to be reminded about how much debt the country continues to rack up.

During a House Financial Services Committee hearing Tuesday on the budget, two Democrats complained after House Financial Services Committee chairman Jeb Hensarling instructed that two monitors in the hearing room display a real-time running national debt clock.

California Rep. Maxine Waters and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison both issued complaints about the displays, according to video of the hearing.
“Clearly it is a political prop designed to message ideologically,” Ellison said.

No, you ignorant fuck, it’s there to jog your memory about the out-of-control waste of our money.
Out of sight, out of mind, right Ellison?

As a commenter at the link put it: “The country is dying and they wish to turn off the heart monitor.”

  1. This just gets creepier every day.

Yes, we wouldn’t want to Message Ideologically, says the Democrats who’ve been giving their pro-spending (or we’ll all die!) and anti-gun messages (or we’ll all die!) in front of widows, orphans, school kids, the unemployed, police, firefighters, nurses, and every other human prop who’ll stand still for five seconds.

Yes, daring to Message Ideologically is only appropriate when THEY do it.
But if Conservatives wish to merely draw attention to the lunacy of our current financial situation?
Beyond the pale, and they should be dealt with, …severely.

This gets more like ’1984′ every day.
I half expect the creation of an actual “Ministry of Truth”, which would replace the media in order to give the White House talking points, every day.

But I guess that WOULD be kinda redundant by now, wouldn’t it?
