The Hildabeast finally recovered from her convenient concussion-induced blood clot and testified before the Senate on the mishandling of the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi.
She’s learned a lot from her husband Slick Willie, as you can see by her statements:
A bipartisan board that investigated the Libya attack “made very clear that the level of responsibility for the failures that they outlined was set at the Assistant Secretary of State level and below,” Clinton said. “These requests don’t ordinarily come in to the secretary of State.”
That drew a blistering response from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky).
“I think ultimately with your leaving you accept culpability for the worst tragedy since Sept. 11,” Paul said. “If I’d been president at the time and I’d found that you did not read the cables from Benghazi, you did not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens, I would have relieved you of your post.”
“Not to know of the requests for security, really I think cost these people their lives.”
She even added a touch of melodrama by getting all choked up:
……”For me, this is not just a matter of policy … it’s personal,” Clinton said while holding back tears.
……Senate Republicans did not shy away from tough questions, and renewed their accusations that Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, was dispatched for interviews after the assault in a deliberate attempt to mislead the public about what had happened as the presidential election loomed.
Rice dropped out of contention to replace Clinton at State in the face of Republican outrage about her initial statements on Libya, which attributed the attack to a peaceful protest gone awry.
Clinton said she wasn’t the one who sent Rice to talk to the media.
“I personally was not focused on talking points,” she said. “I was focused on keeping our people safe.”
She described Rice’s controversial statements as emerging from a “typical” inter-agency process, and stressed that many questions about the events in Libya remain unanswered.
“We didn’t know who the attackers were or what their motives were,” she said. “The picture remains somewhat complicated.”
Her feckless stupidity was already on public display.
Yet she and Obama recorded an apology for the video they blamed.
Congressman Ed Royce of the House Foreign Relations Committee, refreshed her memory by reading some of the emails from the American embassy that described their dire situation and the lack of adequate security.
She’s the Secretary of State. It’s her fucking business to appoint spokespeople for the department. It’s her job to find out what the hell is going on and get directly involved in the problem solving. Hillary also helped set the tone for Susan Rice’s talking points and denials. You can bet your ass she did. There’s not one thing complicated about the attack or the ones responsible. Hint: It ain’t a video.
In the sharpest exchange, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) pressed Clinton about why survivors of the Libya attack weren’t interviewed before Rice’s public statements.
“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans,” Clinton told him angrily. “Whether it’s because of a protest or whether a guy out for a walk decided to go kill some Americans, what difference at this point does it make?”
It makes A LOT of difference, Hillary. Along with Obama’s depraved indifference, your State Department displayed some of the worst systemic failures ever achieved by a government agency. Her fellow Dem crapweasel on the panel thinks the piss-poor decision making was inconsequential:
Democratic congressman Eliot Engel said that “Barack Obama was not responsible for the Benghazi attack any more than George W. Bush was responsible for the 9/11 attacks”:
“Clearly mistakes were made,” said Engel. “But let’s be absolutely clear: Barack Obama was not responsible for the Benghazi attack any more than George W. Bush was responsible for the 9/11 attacks or Ronald Reagan was responsible for the attacks on our Marine barracks in Beirut, which killed over 200 Marines. And frankly whether it was called a terrorist attack or not in the immediate aftermath as far as I’m concerned is irrelevant.”
Except for two things, you asslcown: George W. Bush handled the 9/11 aftermath like a real leader; he went after those responsible. Secondly, he took personal responsibility for the decisions he made, he didn’t blame his predecessor Bubba Clinton, even though he would have been right to do so.
Here’s some questions Hillary should be forced to answer:
Who gave the order to stand down?
Who sent the drone to be used as a voyeur instead of a counter-attack weapon?
Who in the State Department made the decision to pull out three Mobile Security Deployment teams in August of 2012, telling the embassy to “do more with less”?
Who kept refusing to send extra security to the embassy?
Who exactly in the Obama regime went to all the trouble to scour the bowels of the YouTube library for an obscure video to blame for what was part of the muzzie rampage that had been going on for 21 months?
The so-called Accountability Review Board that convened in December 2012 to assess responsibility, found “failures and leadership and management deficiencies at senior levels within two bureaus of the State Department’ , but couldn’t seem to specify any culpable people in the Obama regime, by name.
Rep. Jeff Duncan retorted:
“Madame Secretary, you let the consulate become a death trap”, “I’ll tell you what difference it makes, the American people are being misled!”
At least a few Republicans on the panel had the guts to confront her rehearsed bullshit: “I didn’t know”, “No one told me”, “I wasn’t there”, “I had nothing to do with it”. You get the impression she’s totally unfit for the job.
Obama, Hillary, Rice, and the rest of the motley crew who totally failed their responsibility, the murdered Americans, and this country, won’t suffer the consequences they deserve.
